I watched the Teen Choice Awards…yeah I did. I may have not been a teen for a few years now, but I have no shame. While the awards were as expected nothing to fan-girl over, the clothes were! There was a wide variety of the same ‘ol-same ‘ol red carpet looks, but I did notice a few ladies really bringing their A-game, others continued their streak of fabulous, and some gave me a fresh look.

Below is the run-down of my favorites that you might agree with or you might want to tell me I’m insane for my choices. It is what it is. I may not be a teen anymore and therefore should probably have avoided watching the show all together, but fashion called my name. It’s funny how none of the ladies who made my ‘Best Dressed’ list are teens either, so maybe they should re-name this award show.

1. Nikki Reed in Etro

The bohemian look is huge this summer, but unfortunately it’s not for everyone. There’s a fine line between trying out the look, being true boho, and abusing a trend. “Twilight” star Nikki Reed opted to test la vie bohème last night and pulled it off with flying colors. The actress chose a printed halter-neck handkerchief dress from Etro‘s spring/summer collection that she paired with an over-sized gold hammered cuff and onyx drop earrings – which are also Etro. I love that she went simple with her jewelry and left out a necklace to let the dress neckline stand out, but the gold enhanced the boho vibe and her sun-kissed skin. Nikki kept her accessories simple with a Salvatore Ferragamo black metal leather minaudière.

Nikki’s make-up was soft- but pretty, and her hair was perfectly tousled up with a delicate headband of her own hair braided. Adorable Giuseppe Zanotti E10205 005 mirrored nude sandals completed her look. I wish I could find a clear photo to show them off!

2. Nina Dobrev in D&G

This was something I wasn’t expecting! I could have sworn Nina Dobrev would arrive in a brightly colored outfit and while that would have been fine, I was pleasantly surprised with this well use of gingham print on the red-erm-blue carpet. Stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, hooked “The Vampire Diaries” star up with an adorable navy and white D&G dress and played up the colors with her accessories which included a white Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and navy satin double platform pumps also by Ferragamo. The look was obviously thought out but looked effortless; it was perfect for a low-key award show, but an option for someone wanting to replicate a red carpet look for a date night of their own. A high ponytail and jewelry from Ippolita completed Nina’s look.

3. Fergie in Dolce & Gabbana

The stars love Dolce & Gabbana‘s stars! The fall/winter constellation print from the beloved fashion house has been a red carpet staple for the past several months, but I had yet to see my favorite look until Fergie hit the blue carpet last night for the TCA’s. Although the length was definitely reduced, it didn’t look trashy and it was event appropriate. I can’t help but think Fergie-Ferg was sweating in the hot California sun in those long sleeves though…I hope she had enough sun-block on or else she definitely had something to rival the almighty “farmer’s tan”. This lightened blonde hair actually compliments the Black Eyed Peas which is rare because it can be quite harsh on others.

A black clutch and studded “Pigalle” pumps by Christian Louboutin completed her look.

4. Blake Lively in Gucci

It seems that the recent ‘scandal-that-shall-not-be-named’ Blake Lively has been toning down her sultry red carpet staple style. Long gone are the strapless up-to-there mini dresses, they have since been replaced by knee-length sheath dresses, gowns, and last night our eyes were greeted with a short sleeve, knee-length, decolletage-covering belted tangerine leather dress from Gucci‘s latest resort collection. I loved it! We know Blake has legs a short girl like me could only dream of, but they can be covered from time to time and this time it was done so well. Blake played up the color theme of the award show with silver and turquoise jewelry from one of her favorite designers, Lorraine Schwartz. Surprisingly the “Gossip Girl” actress made her shoe of a choice a pair of animal print “Pigalle” pumps by Christian Louboutin. I wonder if her pal Christian helped her pick them out!

My only problem with this look was the hair. This is one time I was hoping for loose waves instead of the chosen bone-straight and pinned back bangs style.

5. Emma Stone in Christian Dior

The “Crazy, Stupid, Love” actress skipped the carpet, but she didn’t hold back her style! Emma Stone presented during the show and practically walked out in slow motion according to me because all I could focus on was her gorgeous Christian Dior resort dress. The asymmetric silk flowing fabric was long-sleeved but lightweight, a drop waist, with a colorblock style consisting of white, black, and dazzling dark blush sequins. The back-to-red-headed star complimented the sequins of her dress with matching Lanvin peep toe sandals, and Irene Neuwirth jewelry.

I still don’t know which award she presented.

6. Khloe Kardashian in Roberto Cavalli

If you’re surprised that Khloe Kardashian found her way onto one of my ‘Best Dressed’ list, do not be alarmed – I’m an animal print fanatic and this lady did me proud on the blue carpet last night. ‘Goodbye’ skin-tight bandage dresses and ‘Hello’ to the long flowing, mixed animal print gown by Roberto Cavalli from the designer’s pre-fall collection that the Kardashian sister chose for the event. Ever-present were her long dark locks and trusty Yves Saint Laurent pumps, but that gown was a knock-out. Kim usually takes center stage whenever she and her sisters are at one of the many, many award shows they attend each year, but I believe all eyes were on Khloe last night. Rawr.

7. Zoe Saldana in Lanvin

This is a dress meant for twirling! “Colombiana” actress Zoe Saldana attended the TCA’s last night to pay tribute to the “Harry Potter” franchise – in case you were wondering – but she worked her own magic in this multi-tone metallic strapless dress from Lanvin‘s resort collection with an added leather belt and gold metallic Alexander McQueen platform sandals. Because the dress was glitzy enough, obviously the need for heavy jewelry was low but not non-existent as Zoe wore Jamie Wolf bangles, Lana earrings and a Carla Amorim ring.

8. Rachel Bilson in Chloé

I almost didn’t recognize the dress Rachel Bilson wore last night until I saw a close-up of the detail and realized it was a shortened version of a gown presented during Chloé‘s resort 2012 collection. I guess the “Hart of Dixie” star loved it so much that she needed to wear it despite her tiny frame, as fellow shortie I can understand. Rachel paired the soft dress with the ‘Cohen Borchie’, a wicked pair of super-studded ankle boots with a skinny needle heel by Brian Atwood. Some thought the shoes were too edgy for the dress, but I thought opposites attracted and they were adorable on the actress. I also loved that she pulled back most of her two-toned hair, I was growing tired of her constant center part and dull waves.

9. Lucy Hale in Cengiz Abazoğlu

Va-va-voom! Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars” was a head-turner last night in this fully sequined light pink asymmetric mini dress with a black abstract design and cutout detail at the neck by Cengiz Abazoğlu. You can’t tell from the photo, but her entire back was exposed to the point that if she wasn’t encased in sheer fabric, she could’ve given the person sitting behind her an eye-full when she took her seat at the ceremony. The dress was sassy and I loved it, but I think I loved her Giuseppe Zanotti mega platform peep toe pumps more. They had a minor wedge but were basically heel-less!

Twitter was buzzing with fans trying to find where they could get her couture dress, but unless you have an extra twenty grand laying around, you should continue to dream big.

10. Ashley Benson in Alice + Olivia

When I first saw “Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson on the carpet, I mistook her high neck printed dress as an Alexander McQueen creation I had never seen but it was actually by Alice + Olivia! Like Ashley, I am a fan of the Stacey Bendet collection as well as this hot yellow and black mini! The dress called for black accessories to play up the edgy feel of the dress and Ashley didn’t pick just anything, but an acrylic clutch from Jimmy Choo and deco “ART” pumps by Ruthie Davis. The platforms look like a wedge halfway before they turn into a stiletto heel – insane!

HONORABLE MENTION

I had to give a shout out to Kim Kardashian because her Givenchy ostrich cady dress was gorgeous and you know I can’t hate on a standard patent Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps. Unfortunately, I can hate on that hair, and I will. She let the dress down. She could’ve been a contender.

A year goes by so fast! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was giving you the fashion run-down for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, but here we are again. The awards last night were so unexpected and although that’s usually the case with any MTV event, I don’t think many were prepared for some of the ceremony antics. I won’t mention anything specific, especially not about two particular dudes kissing — and that those dudes were Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Gasp!

Let’s talk about fashion. I never expect major gowns or outstanding looks at the Movie Awards, which is good because that made the shockers of last night all the better. Check out my "Best Dressed" list of some seriously fabulous ladies below — some may even surprise you.

1. Kristen Stewart in Balmain

I’m a huge fan of the fashion house Balmain and the edgy/rock-chic creations by former head designer Christophe Decarnin. As a fan of the brand, I was very excited that Kristen Stewart, star of "The Twilight Saga" films, showed up in one of Decarnin’s designs, but it was an amazing short red leather strapless dress that was heavily embellished with safety pins, stars, and studs. This hot number was from the spring 2011 collection, but wasn’t seen on the runway so that made it even better. I knew instantly that despite all of the other dresses I had seen last night, this would be my favorite.

Kristen left her hair in a tousled signature bed-head style and she had legs for days with the black calf leather "Chiara" pumps by Christian Louboutin. Her make-up wasn’t overwhelming but the smokey eyes played up the dress as did her nail polish! Manicurist, Ashlie Johnson did Kristen’s nails in "Midnight Blue" by Essie. No jewelry was necessary as Kristen’s dress was stand out all on its own.

I’ve been waiting for three years to see Kristen finally step out in Balmain, and boy was it worth the wait.
 

2. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Dolce & Gabbana

I think it’s pretty much a fact that if you want to show up in a sexy animal print dress, it’s Dolce & Gabbana that you go to. "Transformers 3" star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley attended the MTV Movie Awards in a long-sleeve tight tiger printed dress, it was shown on the runway in the recent fall collection presentation and she had it altered to raise further up her legs. Of course she did. I’m a huge fan of natural color leopard print but this is probably my most favorite tiger print I’ve seen on a dress.

Sometimes there’s a fine borderline with animal print on clothing, one small wrong move and you could end up looking trashy. Rosie looked anything but last night. I loved how her hair was only partially pulled up and her matching accessories, which included a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Sergio Rossi "Totem" wedges, were the perfect additions to complete her look.

3. Elizabeth Reaser in Elie Saab

This only dress from my favorite designer that was worn last night, but I can’t complain because the quality of Elizabeth Reaser in this fall 2009 black cabochon-embellished mini by Elie Saab made up for the lack of quantity. The "Twilight" hot mama knew how to work it in this dress and obviously knows how to accessorize as well…including how much is needed. Not much was because, like with Kristen’s dress, this look is so eye-catching.

I loved her loose vixen waves as they were so effortless. Elizabeth completed her look with sky-high black platform peep toe pumps and a serpent ring by Jack Vartanian.

4. Leighton Meester in Balmain

A classic MTV awards look! If you can’t "bring the bling" at an MTV event, then you can’t do it anywhere. Leighton Meester was high voltage last night in her mirrored, silver embellished, long-sleeve super mini dress from the fall collection by Balmain. The neckline is crew and the whole dress is embellished so Leighton was able to leave her lightened locks long and flowy while not disturbing the look of the dress.

Leighton was good to go with a few jewels by Bulgari and a pair of black and silver multi-strap sandals by Pierre Hardy.

5. Mila Kunis in Balmain

I may have not gotten a lot of Saab on the carpet, but Balmain was very good to me last night. After being blown away by both Leighton and Kristen, I was thrilled that Mila Kunis also chose the fashion house as her choice for her awards ensemble. Opting for a two piece look rather than a dress, the "Friends with Benefits" actress wore a multi-colored metallic mini skirt with a loose fitting long-sleeve black top that she rolled the sleeves of. This is definitely a look you can wear anywhere! The MTV Movie Awards are a place where you can keep it low-key while still being glam and that’s what I felt Mila did.

Mila kept her gorgeous dark locks pin straight with dewy make-up and smokey eyes. She completed her look with pink and gold "Dolly" pumps by Charlotte Olympia that matched the colors in her skirt perfectly.

6. Emma Watson in Marchesa

Emma Watson is too cute! The "Harry Potter" star arrived in a gorgeous hand embroidered silk white dress by Marchesa and a pair of metallic silver leather pumps by Brian Atwood. The look was sophisticated, playful, and sassy all at once which I felt suited the personality of Emma as well as her figure and her sense of style. Look at the neckline and cap-sleeves on that dress – it looks like a huge glamorous necklace!

I love the whole effortless style about it that is still so chic and I think her growing pixie hair cut adds to that. A pair of earrings by KumKum completed Emma’s look.

7. Selena Gomez in Giambattista Valli

I originally had envisioned this Giambattista Valli spring 2011 crop top and skirt on Ashley Greene or Leighton Meester, but when I saw Selena Gomez last night I realized that she was actually perfect for this look! Just like her choice of Christian Cota at the Kids’ Choice Awards earlier this year, Selena kept it short – white based with a hint of spring color to bring out her tan and highlight her beautiful dark hair that she left half pulled up and out of her face. They weren’t shown together on the runway, but I love how the mint and darker shades of green in the top compliment the block of nude color on her skirt and the hint on the white and the hem.

Selena complimented the colors with a matching clutch and pointed toe satin pumps by Casadei. You can’t tell from the picture, but the heels of her shoes are like needles. She really worked this look from head to toe.

8. Ashley Benson in Matthew Williamson

I was shocked that Ashley Benson was so overlooked last night! The "Pretty Little Liars" actress didn’t even have photos posted until later into the night which was so lame according to me, because she looked fabulous and was much more well put together than some of the big names that attended.

Ashley wore the ultimate party dress for the biggest party of the summer in this gold and pewter dress from the spring collection by Matthew Williamson. I love the defined bustier that blends into the tiered slightly fringed skirt and the way the metallic flecks in the embroidery give off a shine.

She completed her look with edgy black-rimmed eyes, Amrapali rose-cut diamond earrings and dress-matching pewter double platform peep toe pumps by Salvatore Ferragamo.

9. Emma Stone in Bottega Veneta

This was something I wasn’t expecting but was happy it happened. Emma Stone returned to her signature red hair and matched her entire outfit to it in a completely chic way. The black lace overlay over Emma’s orange bustier dress by Bottega Veneta allowed the hints of color to pop through and compliment the darker orange neo silk faille clutch, "The Amazing Spider-Man" actress carried. It was well thought out and while most didn’t think it was an MTV award show type look and should have been worn at a movie premiere, I thought it worked just fine.

I wasn’t completely sold on the rust-colored satin double platform pumps by Casadei because they have a waved thick heel, but I actually love it. If Emma was going to stray away from Lanvin for a night – this was a great way to do it.

10. Aimee Teegarden in Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet

Another actress that wasn’t on everyone’s fashion it-list was Aimee Teegarden – again, I don’t know why. I personally love a good black dress, but I’m also a big lover of colorful things and I especially love color for summer events. Aimee’s Alice + Olivia "Krysta" dress was not only bright and full of color, but it was a great combination of shades. I wasn’t a fan of her shoes when I first saw photos emerge and I’m still not, but my thoughts on her dress make me totally overlook them.

Hopefully this is the start of a great red carpet streak for Aimee.

Honorable Mentions: Hailee Steinfeld in Louis Vuitton and Nikki Reed in Heather

I wanted give the honorable mentions to Hailee Steinfeld and Nikki Reed because while part of me liked their looks a lot, there were a few things wrong with both — enough not to make my Top 10. I feel like you should always rock a look from head-to-toe and these two actresses almost did.

I adored the concept of Hailee wearing a tuxedo, I love women wearing awesome suits. I love dresses, but I don’t always like wearing them myself and lately some of the top actresses in Hollywood have been showing me that you really don’t have to and you can still look just as chic. When I heard Hailee went for it, I was dying to see how she looked…and then I did. Don’t get me wrong, I love her Louis Vuitton tuxedo and how it’s embellished with sequins on the lapel and thick strips down the leg, but I don’t love that it doesn’t look tailored to her body at all. Considering she has red nails and red lips…I would have also preferred a red or hot pink – yes hot pink – clutch. I was trying to figure out what she could’ve replaced the white tee with and not make it look trashy…but I couldn’t. Even still, I don’t like the white t-shirt. Maybe if Hailee had matched the clutch with green shoes popping beneath her pants it would’ve helped. But she didn’t… so it didn’t.

As for Nikki Reed, I am so torn. I think her dress by Heather is cool, definitely cool enough for the awards, but it’s everything else that is just not working for me at all. The shoes need to go for sure, and they need to be replaced with something shiny. A metallic shoe would’ve changed the entire look for the better. Especially a silver pair like Emma Watson’s or in rose gold — even a neon shade. Her hair in a high ponytail would’ve added edge and drama…and no clutch at all so that she could’ve thrown those hands on her hips and worked it. Her Loree Rodkin jewels were fabulous and I wouldn’t have changed that, but I don’t think some bangles would’ve done any harm.

Both of these actresses were just…soclose.

…KRISTEN STEWART, MILA KUNIS OR LEIGHTON MEESTER?

Three heavy hitters in Hollywood all hit the red carpet at last night’s MTV Movie Awards in creations by the same designer! Leighton Meester arrived wearing a silver mirrored long-sleeve dress from the latest fall collection by Balmain that everyone gushed over. It was easily the favorite of the night until fans and reporters practically got whiplash when soon after, "Twilight" beauty Kristen Stewart stunned in a safety pin embellished red-hot leather dress. Not only was the dress strapless, but the risqué hem made the 21-year-old actress appear to have legs that went on for days.

When Mila Kunis joined her "Friends with Benefits" co-star Justin Timberlake on stage during the show to present the ‘Best Male Performance’ award to Robert Pattinson, we noticed that Mila was also in a fall look from the fashion house. The "Black Swan" actress switched up her look – but didn’t hold back from the glamour – in a longsleeve black top and super tight, ultra mini metallic skirt.

We thought all of the ladies looked incredible, but who do YOU think rocked Balmain best?

We’re looking forward to seeing the amazing dresses on these stars as well as all of those not yet announced.

Last night the stars and designers came out to the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala, where the theme of the night was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" and paid tribute to the late-great designer Lee McQueen.

I enjoyed watching the many stars strut across the carpet in their gala best, but was also felt under whelmed by many, put off by some, and just "meh" about others. Then there were those who looked great, but just not MET Gala worthy. Everyone mentioned on the following list is obviously not in any of the above categories. Although there were several stunners, they just couldn’t make the list or else it would’ve been way too long to be worth a read. I hope these are worth it to you.

Kristen Stewart in Proenza Schouler
All eyes were on Kristen Stewart when she arrived at the MET last night, and with good reason, the Twilight beauty hit the red carpet looking fierce! Kristen was dressed in a one-of-a-kind high neck ruby red, black graphic paillette floor length dress with a double high side slit designed by Proenza Schouler. She attended the gala with the designers, Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez.

One thing I love about Kristen is that you never see her overloading with accessories, she always lets her dress do the talking. Last night was no different as she only wore some super cool 19th century Berlin iron scrollwork bracelets by Fred Leighton on both wrists.

Last year she received mix reviews for her tightly twisted hairstyle, but all that is forgotten after last night’s effortlessly chic tousled loose up-do by Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel. Her make-up was also simply chic. Make-up artist Beau Nelson gave her a light glow with nude lips and edgy smokey eyes with COVERGirl products.

Kristen’s MET look was finished off with a clutch and Fall 2011 multi-strap sandals – the back design of the shoes matched the print of her dress! – by Proenza Schouler.

Emma Stone in Lanvin
As pretty as rose. Actress Emma Stone arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala last night in a custom black & white floral rose print silk-satin strapless gown by Alber Elbaz, head designer of the fashion house Lanvin.

I’m not a huge fan of floral prints, never have been and probably never will be, but Emma clearly swayed my opinion last night in this gown. I feel like it’s hard to wear a heavy print and not come off looking like a bed spread, but she proved it possible.

Not distracting, but instead complementing, she wore long crystal drop earrings that just grazed her shoulder enough to stand out. Her new blonde hair (she dyed it for her role in the upcoming "Spider-Man" flick) was tossed up with side swept bangs. As if the print on her gown didn’t pop enough, Emma had the perfect pout with bold pink lips.

Emma completed her look with black satin asymmetrical cutaway pumps with grosgrain heels also by Lanvin.

Ashley Greene in Donna Karan
Wow.

That was the only word to describe my reaction to Ashley Greene’s one-of-a-kind nude tulle strapless gown with platinum sequins in fishbone pattern by Donna Karan. This was simply the best gown I’ve ever seen by Donna Karan, I was blown away having already been a fan of the label. The detail and train were so eye-catching that it was almost hard to miss the way Ashley posed in it.

With a gown like that you don’t have to do much — you’re beautiful almost by default — but I would’ve liked to have seen more smiling, more hand on hip…I just wanted her to werk it. Maybe it was just the photos I came across, I haven’t seen any where she’s doing anything more than a smirk. Hopefully some will come about. Ashley looked kind of terrified to really move in it, but it was probably heavy…yeah…that was it. I feel for her having to move around all night in it, but when it’s that pretty I can’t feel all that bad.

She looked fantastic though. I loved the low side-gathered bun, the glamorous make-up, and her accessories. Ashley wore a diamond cuff and drop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, carried an evening clutch by Judith Leiber, and walked tall in sexy – but hidden – "Wagner" gunmetal pumps by Brian Atwood that matched the sequin detail in her gown perfectly.

Michelle Williams in Miu Miu
I was glad to see Michelle Williams on the carpet last night, and more than pleased with her choice gown. In fact, I think this is the best look I’ve ever seen her in! Michelle’s custom-made black cady silk open back dress enriched with micro-sequin gold swallow embroidery and grosgrain bow details accenting the shoulders and waist by Miu Miu was gorgeous.

Miu Miu often has their prints all over, but the strategically placed swallows were perfect and allowed for the silhouette of the dress to stand out. The draping at the open sleeves and detail at the top added depth.

I think I loved her hair and make-up almost as much as the dress. Michelle had been sporting nearly white locks, but that seemed to be toned down last night with some dark golden tresses. She also added gold tones to the eye and nude lipstick with just a bit of sparkle.

Michelle finished off with two bracelets, one black and the other gold. Chic.

Diane Kruger in Jason Wu
Legs for days! Diane Kruger was head-to-toe perfect last night at the MET Gala in her Jason Wu FW11 gown featuring a sequin embroidered paillete nude long sleeve top attached to a black, extremely high cut, side slit skirt. The dress was equal parts mystical and glamorous and Diane was just the woman to wear it.

Not only did the dress earn her a place on my ‘Best Dressed’ list, but the way she posed in it just added ferocity to it. The only problem is that I saw virtually no photos of her smiling. I believe there’s a fine line between giving sultry and just looking annoyed…Diane straddled that line last night. Luckily, facial expressions don’t make or break you if you’re dressed that good — and she was dressed that good.

I love that she didn’t wear clunky pumps and kept it sleek with ankle strap sandals. Siren red lipstick and "old Hollywood glamour" side swept curls completed her look.

The late-great fashion designer Lee McQueen was honored last night at the MET Gala, the theme of the night was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" and what a beauty model Gisele Bunchen was in one of his archived strapless ball gowns from his Fall 2005 ready-to-wear collection. Gisele was simply statuesque that if I didn’t know she was already insanely tall, I would swear she was on stilts. Check out the detailing of the way the skirt fans out. Gorgeous.

A few diamonds here, some sexy waves in her hair there, and Gisele was ready for a night just like this one.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Topshop
Yes, it’s Topshop…can you believe that? Ginnifer Goodwin gave me a little bit glamour, some sexiness, mystique and…I can can kinda see a little bit of Peter Pan going on – in the best way. I loved the green shade of her silk twisted front long sleeve gown with a deep v-neck, side cut-out, and slit skirt. On someone else, such as Rihanna, this dress might’ve bordered on "too sexy" but Ginnifer kept it clean.

The entire outfit was tied together. Ginnifer accessorized with a green and turquoise stone necklace, a navy blue Kotur LTD clutch, and Aperlai "Karine" sandals also in navy and turquoise which made everything work in sync. I’m a huge fan of her spiky ‘do and light turquoise eye shadow. You’ll hear no complaints from me on this one.

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci Première
Evan Rachel Wood arrived at the MET Gala last night in a gorgeous couture Gucci Première plum silk georgette sleeveless evening gown with plunging neckline, hematite oval embroidery and Swarovski crystal cluster detail around the waist.

Evan was another example of ‘letting the dress do the talking’ last night. She kept her make-up beautiful but not overwhelming. Her hair was interestingly twisted atop her head, and her jewels were stunning. Evan’s nails even matched the plum of her gown!

Her look was completed with pewter sequin sandals and a matching python clutch also by Gucci Première.

Demi Moore in Prabal Gurung
Still riding high off the royal wedding style this past weekend, Demi Moore stepped out at the MET Gala in a Prabal Gurung FW11 gorgeous feather and sequin embroidered gown complete with a matching "fascinator" headpiece by Philip Treacy. I was happy to see that she didn’t take "costume gala" overboard but still went all out.

Demi took is a step further than the previous ladies on the list as far as jewels go. The actress loaded up on nearly half a million dollars in Cartier jewels which included platinum and four diamond drop earrings, a white gold, diamond, and onyx cocktail ring and a white gold, diamond, and onyx band. Dripping in diamonds!

Demi finished off her look with Casadei pumps.

Emma Roberts in Michael Kors
I was eagerly awaiting Emma Roberts’ appearance last night when I heard she’d be in Michael Kors. While I was expecting something off the runway from the latest Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection and I knew I’d most likely love it, I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. The "Scream 4" actress has been doing really well on the red carpet as of late. I’ve pretty much liked everything she’s worn, but this takes the cake.

Emma wore a custom white silk crepe column gown with black paillette detail. Emma accessorized with a black crocodile envelope clutch also by Michael Kors. Loose curls and Chopard jewels were all Emma needed for the night.

Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture
When word spread that Blake Lively would arrive at the MET Gala on the arm of Karl Lagerfeld wearing Chanel haute couture, I had a feeling it’d be from the archive collection. I also thought it’d be short. I was both right and wrong — and happy about both.

There’s no denying that Blake has a pair of killer gams, but for once her dress stood out more than they did. Blake wore a beige tulle paillette embroidered dress with chiffon sash from the Fall/Winter 2009/10 haute couture collection which she paired with matching "Anna" sandals by Christian Louboutin. Who else thought she’d find a way to wear the "Blake" by Loubie last night? Ah well.

Just a few days ago Blake shocked us all with a very strawberry red new hair color that suit her at all, but it looks like it’s been toned down and worked well with the colors of her dress. She dyed it for an upcoming movie role and will go back to her blonde locks in time to resume filming of "Gossip Girl" later this year.

Kate Hudson in Stella McCartney
It wasn’t extravagant, but it was gorgeous. I loved every bit of Kate Hudson’s look last night. The very pregnant "Something Borrowed" actress wore a beautifully crafted custom strapless gown with crystal details by Stella McCartney.

Kate kept her blonde tresses long and wavy while creating somewhat of a goddess look with an added crystal brooch in the center of her hair.

As always Kate looked lovely, but her feet must have been killing her by the end of the night. She wore nude sky-high triple platform pumps by Casadei.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Alexander McQueen
It would’ve felt wrong had Sarah Jessica Parker wore anyone but one of the beautiful gowns by her dear friend. Like Gisele, SJP chose a chic beaded long sleeve metallic gown from Alexander McQueen‘s FW05 runway collection.

I felt like the gown really suited her height and frame, and I love how she added just a bit of popping color with green satin pumps. There was something very retro about her hairstyle which I thought was awesome and kind of reminded me of a style you’d see on models walking a McQueen runway presentation.

Sarah kept it simple, but she didn’t refrain from gorgeous diamonds as she wore a pair of earrings, a brooch, and rings all by Fred Leighton.

Madonna in Stella McCartney
How stunning is Madonna’s Stella McCartney gown? Not only did Madge look fabulous from the neck up with beautiful curls and a striking red lip color, but the color of her satin gown complimented her skin so well. I fell in love with it the minute I saw a photo of her carpet. There’s nothing better than a dress you love at first glance without seeing much detail, so you can only imagine what I thought when I saw that the entire back was embroidered with glittering silver stars!

I can honestly say that, to me, this is the best Madonna has ever looked. I expected her to be one of the ladies in McQueen, but it was a pleasant and interesting turn of a events.

Madonna completed her look with lots of Cartier jewels – didn’t really need the necklace, but oh well – and a pair of Sergio Rossi platform sandals.

Coco Rocha in Alexander McQueen
I almost completely missed model Coco Rocha last night as I didn’t see any photos of her walking the red carpet. I’m glad there were at least a few photographs of her at the gala because then we wouldn’t have seen how amazing she looked in this Sarah Burton designed Alexander McQueen PF11 halter gown with gold detail and feather embroidery. I just think this dress is such a flattering shape. More often than not, McQueen’s dresses are more interesting than they are wearable, but that was not the case for Coco’s choice.

More than just loving the dress, I was definitely loving her gold jewelry, dramatic winged eye-makeup, and pompadour half-up hairstyle. Very appropriate for the night and a great way to pay tribute to Mr. McQueen.

Coco finished off with shoes and a embroidered clutch also from the collection.

Honorable Mentions: Fergie in Marchesa & Janelle Monae in Chanel / Dolce & Gabbana
I debated putting Fergie on the list because I wasn’t feeling her in this Marchesa platinum embroidered illusion column gown with flared tulle skirt, but I just can’t get over the gown. It’s my favorite from the Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection, but I think it might be my most favorite gown designed by Marchesa – ever.

Fergie got props from me for simply wearing it last night at the gala. Not only is it creative, but the beautiful detailing that went into it is amazing. I don’t think I could’ve imagined the MET Gala happening last night and this gown not being apart of it.

As for Janelle Monae, I just love her. She’s new to these major galas but she has a "look" already and knows how to work it. She makes menswear look so good for women. The singer arrived at the MET Gala last night wearing YSL black pumps with a Chanel Fall 2011 ruffled high neck blouse and black satin pants that she topped off with…well, a top hat. So cool…I can’t even.

Later that night she performed with Bruno Mars and they both rocked tuxedos by Dolce & Gabbana. Janelle’s FW11 black sequined blazer with arched lapels is, forgive me for this, "winning". It just is. Don’t judge me. I wish we had better photos of it, but luckily designer Prabal Gurung was able to provide us with this photo he tweeted last night.

The Academy Awards is the number one red carpet gala of the year. If you want to make a true fashionable lasting impression, you do it at the Oscars if you’re lucky enough to attend. That being said, it’s one thing to attend and another to be attending because of a nomination. If you’re up for an award, you better bring your A game! Even if you don’t bring home an award, you should still look “award winning”. A few actresses failed to accomplish an Oscar-worthy look last night, but a few did and I’ve included them in my Top 10 Best Dressed list below.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino and Atelier Versace
Anne Hathaway may have had mixed reviews of her hosting duties at last night’s ceremony, but I only have one thing to say about her entrance – brilliant. Her Valentino Fall 2002 haute couture strapless red gown was one of my favorites from that collection and one I thought I’d never see on the red carpet. Anne completed her A+ ensemble with matching lips and nails, light jewelry, and a loose up-do. Anne looked all kinds of Disney princess last night, and while she had seven wardrobe changes during the show, she must agree with me that her Atelier Versace gown was her best because she also wore it to the after-parties. Gorgeous.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab
I had my fingers crossed that I would see at least one look by Elie Saab – considering he’s my favorite designer and his collections scream “wear me to the Oscars!” It’s an understatement that I was excited to see Mila Kunis freaking glide down the red carpet in his beautiful lilac peek-a-boo lace gown from Saab’s Spring 2011 haute couture collection. Her long dark locks were pinned up, low and to the side creating an “old-Hollywood Glamour” flare. I wish I could find a clear photo of her matching platform sandals by Saab.

Mila finished off her look with a clutch by Bottega Veneta and jewels from Neil Lane.

Halle Berry in Marchesa
Halle wasn’t nominated last night, but you would think she was vying for another Best Actress win by showing up at the Academy Awards looking as statuesque as she did. Halle rocked that beautiful and overflowing nude and crystal encrusted corset gown with organza and silk tulle ruffles by Marchesa as she would in sweats. She was the epitome of perfection and class last night.

Occasionally she’d pop a foot out to show off her Christian Louboutin ‘Hyper Prive’ pumps. Her diamonds were from Neil Lane.

Oprah Winfrey in Zac Posen
Jaw, please meet floor. That was my reaction when Oprah Winfrey stepped out onto the Academy Awards stage last night in her glittery gown by Zac Posen. Oprah hit all of the right marks and I’m only bummed about the fact that she didn’t walk the red carpet so I could see how it reflected off the natural light.

Right now, this is becoming my favorite look of hers over her Oscar de la Renta gown at last year’s MET Gala. Werk it O!

Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa
I expected to see the 14 year-old actress waltz down the red carpet in a design by Miuccia Prada, but was pleasantly surprised to not only see the True Grit starlet in a dress by one of my favorites – Marchesa ­– but to hear that she actually helped design the tea length crystal hand embroidered tulle dress. I thought she looked like one of the ballerinas straight out of a little girl’s jewelry box. It was both age and occasion appropriate. She’s been on a roll all award season long!

Hailee accessorized with a silver metal clutch, with leather bow and rhinestone details, and a pair of nude satin peep toe shoes with double platform by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Natalie Portman in Rodarte
Natalie Portman was the last actress to hit the red carpet, but left a long lasting impression in her custom violet silk chiffon draped gown with Swarovski Crystals by Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte. The design team sisters were behind the ballerina costumes in Black Swan, so it was only fitting that Natalie accepted her award for ‘Best Actress’ in one of their creations.

The mother-to-be, and now Oscar winner, glowed in the dress. As she gets closer to her due-date, I’m assuming it was more than comfortable to sit for long periods of time in a non-binding comfortable fabric.

Matching perfectly from head to toe, Natalie wore Tiffany & Co. jewels with a Roger Vivier clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Macy’ sandals.

Michelle Williams in Chanel
I cannot tell a lie, I was hoping Michelle Williams would wear Elie Saab. I knew she’d wear Chanel, but I hoped for Saab. On the upside, I loved her Spring 2011 haute couture white beaded gown. It was simple, shimmery, and a good choice for the occasion. It was one of my favorites of the night, but it still cannot compete with her Vera Wang from the 2006 Oscars in my eyes. Michelle accessorized with Jimmy Choo “Cosmic” pumps and Harry Winston diamonds. A smile could’ve gone a long way though.

Hilary Swank in Gucci
I honestly thought she would be in another dress by Versace and that I would be bored out of my mind. Not only did Hilary Swank wear a gown from Gucci‘s premiere collection, but it was a great choice for her. I’m not a feather girl and it has to be really well done for me to love ombré and feathers…this was accomplished last night.

Hilary looked lovely in the fading metallic and I think the dress wouldn’t have been complete without the smattering of feathers. I’m not sure if I think a necklace was required or not, but I do like the Roger Vivier clutch in a shade that matched the embellishments of her gown.

Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang
Sandra Bullock lacked the glitz of the Marchesa gown she wore to last year’s event, but while she wasn’t nominated this year, she still managed to outshine some of the leading ladies in her glamorous Vera Wang strapless red gown. I’m a fan of a red – a big fan of red. I was a big fan of Sandra’s gown, but that’s as far as it goes. Lacking on embellishments or major jewelry, I think she could have left her hair cascading in waves or curls…even a loose up-do. I just felt like there was so much bare space. Aside from that? Stunning.

Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior
I never thought Nicole’s Dior strapless origami gown would make my best dressed list. At first glance I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and for a breath of a minute I wished she had worn L’Wren Scott, but then I looked at it a few times, paid attention to detail and changed my thoughts. While I still think white was a too matchy-matchy with her complexion, I loved her pop of color with the Pierre Hardy shoes and the intricate detail of the dress design. It wasn’t my favorite of the night, but it was one of them.

Honorable Mention: Penelope Cruz in L’Wren Scott
I loved this gown, but not the styling. Penelope Cruz wasn’t looking to up-stage any of the nominees last night, but she out-shined many stars when she arrived on the arm of beau Javier Bardem in her red hot sequined flame dress from L’Wren Scott‘s spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection. The only thing that kept her from making my list was the drab hair and maximum cleavage. The gown is attention grabbing enough, but I know she can’t really do anything about what she was blessed with. She still looked incredible, hence the "honorable mention".

Fashion was on my mind for music’s biggest night at the Grammy Awards last night. My usual red carpet winners were on point and some of my favorites failed to deliver, but in the midst of a few failures I found 10 gems that I want to share with you. Here are my Top 10 Best Dressed picks of the evening!

1. Nicole Kidman in Jean Paul Gaultier
Oh my goodness. She wasn’t even nominated for anything and yet Nicole Kidman stole the thunder of so many artists when she hit the red carpet in her incredible strapless creation from Jean Paul Gaultier‘s spring 2011 haute couture collection. She even up-staged Rihanna who was in the same designer from the same collection! Her long strawberry locks perfectly cascaded down her shoulder and ever-so-often you’d see a pop of her amazing Manolo Blahnik jeweled sandals. Barely any jewelry was needed with this perfection, so Nicole opted for a golden cuff by Fred Leighton.

2. Rihanna in Jean Paul Gaultier & Christian Dior
I thought Rihanna was going to make my top list with her Jean Paul Gaultier spring 2011 haute couture off-the-shoulder gown alone, but she instead surprised me with two amazing looks that I couldn’t choose between. I was expecting something really insane for the awards and while she delivered, she didn’t go over the top which I appreciated. Riri did have many asking what exactly she had on under her dress which features several sheer insets throughout the entire thing. Apparently she had on some nude underwear and strategically placed tape. She wore nude ‘Pigalle Plato’ pumps by Christian Louboutin beneath it.

For her performance with Eminem during the show, Rihanna changed into my absolute favorite floral gown from Christian Dior‘s spring 2011 haute couture collection. I was hoping someone would wear this gown during award season, but was giving up hope and figured it’d only be used for editorials. Thanks to Rihanna for not only wearing it, but wearing it like it should’ve been worn. I haven’t been a huge fan of her crayola red hair, but the tone was toned down for the show and looked fab with everything she wore.

3. Jennifer Lopez in Emilio Pucci
I’m not surprised Jennifer Lopez showed up in a metallic mini and neither should you. What I am surprised about is that I loved it! The Emilio Pucci mirrored long-sleeve dress was major and the added accessories of the Swarovski clutch, Cartier jewels and bad-ass Christian Louboutin spiked out ‘Very Mix’ platform pumps were killer. I love that she didn’t do one of her too-tight high ponytails and let her long golden locks loose. The entire ensemble worked from head-to-toe.

4. Selena Gomez in J. Mendel
Selena is growing up before our eyes! After getting off to a great start at the People’s Choice Awards, the 18 year-old actress/singer wore another winner last night. Selena said her dress was gold when asked about her panne velvet bias cut clip gown with chiffon inserts from J. Mendel‘s spring collection, but it was actually liquid silver. Whether she knew or not really didn’t matter though because her Judith Leiber clutch and Brian Atwood sandals matched perfectly. I was a huge fan of her gown and an even bigger fan of her hair. Thumbs up all around!

5. Florence Welch in Elie Saab
I didn’t like the Givenchy haute couture that the Florence and the Machine front woman arrived in, but considering how much I love my Elie Saab, I was extremely excited about her couture gown during the Aretha Franklin tribute performance. Florence’s long-sleeved layered beaded gown was stunning and looked impeccable against her vibrant red hair. She stood out against the other singers in dark colors during the performance in the best way. I only wish she had worn it for the rest of the show so I could get a better look of her in it, but instead she changed into a design by Yves Saint Laurent.

6. Keri Hilson in Basil Soda
Miss Keri baby! I love Keri Hilson and was looking forward to seeing her walk the red carpet in a sparkly mini. I wasn’t disappointed in her shortened Basil Soda blue cocktail dress with metallic silver embroidery. She perfectly matched her footwear to her dress with a pair of silver super-strappy sandals. I’m glad she didn’t do one of those flip hairstyles and instead left her asymmetric bob sleek and sassy.

7. Gwyneth Paltrow in Rachel Roy
Gwyneth didn’t walk the red carpet and showed up for the first time last night on stage with Cee-Lo Green as they performed "Forget You". Gwyneth performed in a Stella McCartney jumpsuit and multi-colored ankle boots by Christian Louboutin. Gwyn caught my eye later in the show when she was spotted in the audience wearing a fantastic feather and sequined embroidered long-sleeve mini dress from Rachel Roy‘s pre-fall collection. When I originally saw the dress in the presentation, I thought the long sheer skirt connected to it was a bit odd, obviously Gwyneth wasn’t in favor for it either as she stripped it off to show off her long legs. She kept her accessories matching with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, a Dana Rebecca ring, and awesome ‘Amber’ platform sandals by Louboutin.

8. Janelle Monae in Dolce & Gabbana
Posing with Gwyneth was Janelle Monae who stayed true to her menswear look in glitzy tuxedo by Dolce & Gabbana. I love how her signature cool ‘do added funk to her tux. She really worked it on Grammy night so I couldn’t overlook it in my Top 10 best dressed compilation.

9. Dianna Agron in Vivienne Westwood
Oh, ‘hello’ miss rock-chic! I was definitely into Dianna Agron’s head-to-toe black look because her bright blonde hair kept her from looking ghostly or goth and allowed her inner-rockstar to shine through. While I loved her double platform Salvatore Ferragamo pumps and her Judith Leiber, my favorite pair of the entire ensemble was her amazing vintage jewelry from House of Lavande. Those spiked black earrings pulled the entire thing together. Loved it!

10. Miranda Lambert in Edition by Georges Chakra
When I originally saw Miranda Lambert on the live coverage on the red carpet, I actually had her mistaken for Carrie Underwood. For the first time I was genuinely interested in Miranda’s style as I thought she looked beautiful in her Georges Chakra one-shouldered gown. The metallic fabric was perfect for Grammy night and her swept-up hair was able to show off the cutout detail in the strap. Miranda has spoken out that it can be hard to find the perfect dress to fit her frame as they normally come in very small sample sizes. I thought her choice for the Grammys not only fit her, but flattered as well.

Last night at the start studded Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) Awards the stars turned our and turned it up on the red carpet with some dazzling choices. While I had many favorites, I also had many dislikes. For the top ten of the looks I felt definitely were award winning, please read on.
 

1. Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen
If I could be Mila Kunis for a day, it would’ve been last night. Not only did she look amazing in her Alexander McQueen gown, but her hair, make-up, and accessories were so on point. How she manages to always look sweet and sultry amazes me. I could just go on and on about how much I loved her look last night, but I’ll shut up and let you enjoy it yourself. Mila’s clutch was also by McQueen and her jewels were from Cartier. I wish I had a photo of her awesome Christian Louboutin ‘Balota’ platform sandals which were hidden beneath her gown.

2. Natalie Portman in Azzaro
Oh look- two of my favorites, Natalie Portman and Azzaro, working in perfect harmony. It must suck walking down the red carpet next to Natalie, this girl is flawless and even while carrying another person in her belly, she still looks effortless. I don’t look that comfy in pajamas! Natalie’s “Jungle” white long dress with pleated bustier in silk crêpe and crystal embroidered was a perfect selection for the SAG Awards and the styling of her hair just totally aced the look for me. She looked like a white swan who only needed a few diamonds from Tiffany & Co. to complete her ensemble.

3. Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta
After failing to really stand out to me at the Golden Globes this year, Lea put herself right back in the game at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in this super sexy blush crepe de chine caviar bead embroidered gown from Oscar de la Renta‘s spring collection. Loose waves, a sultry pose, and Tiffany & Co. diamonds were all that was needed for the “Glee” star to kill it on the carpet last night.

4. Nicole Kidman in Nina Ricci
When I first viewed the presentation for Nina Ricci’s pre-fall collection, this navy velvet dress with lace insets stood out to me and I instantly thought Nicole Kidman would choose it for an event. Even without seeing the front of the dress. As predicted, Nicole not only choose it, she rocked it at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards. I especially loved the fall of her long swept bangs and her diamond flower necklace by Fred Leighton. There’s not too much for me to say other than – well done Nicole, well done.

5. Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton
Another hit from Claire Danes! I’m not a big flower girl, but I couldn’t help but love her fully floral embroidered strapless gown from Louis Vuitton‘s resort 2011 collection. This is my favorite dress from the collection and it wasn’t even featured in the presentation. It was more than likely custom-made for the “Temple Grandin” star. A nice thick belt at her waist, bright rosey-pink lips and lightly waved hair was all she needed to look like the winner she was last night.

6. Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta
Is this the best Tina Fey has ever looked? I think so. The “30 Rock” star was red hot last night in her drop-dead-gorgeous scarlet guipure lace gown from Oscar de la Renta‘s pre-fall collection. I see nothing wrong with this look. I don’t care that the Christian Louboutin clutch is a major contrast in black, and I wouldn’t care if her hair looked a mess – which it doesn’t – because this gown was just perfect. Just… perfect.

7. Dianna Agron in Chanel
I’m a big fan of Chanel, but I can’t lie by saying that the recent collections are favorites of mine. I can say that Dianna Agron’s vintage haute couture cocktail dress was amazing though. I love everything about it, especially the tea length as a full gown wouldn’t have looked right and a pencil shape would’ve been event in-appropriate in my opinion. Dianna let her gown do the talking as she paired it with a clutch and not-so basic double platform pumps by Salvatore Ferragamo. Her eye area looks a bit darker than usual… I wonder if it’s her eyebrows.

8. Julia Stiles in Monique Lhuillier
I was mentally counting down the days until I’d see this Monique Lhuillier ombré navy gown from her pre-fall collection as it truly stood out to me in the presentation. I didn’t want to wait long and I wasn’t disappointed in who wore it. Julia Stiles looked gorgeous and well styled at the SAG Awards in the strapless gown and her goldie locks in perfect loose curls. I adored her Thorin & Co. for Lavande tanzanite earrings, and I appreciated the bling in her Jimmy Choo clutch. I never paid much attention to Julia on the red carpet before, but after this look that will change.

9. Hailee Steinfeld in Prada
Oh my gosh, I love this girl! This is Hailee Steinfeld’s first time running the red carpet circuit in the spotlight like this and she’s just killin’ it every. single. time. In an easily recognizable Prada gown, custom or not, Hailee was a little bottle of fruity sunshine at the SAG Awards. Her look was quirky, spunky, and the hot pink nails were just perfect. I like that she kept her make-up and hair low maintenance and the mermaid flounce at the hem of her skirt is lovely. Not much jewelry going on, but her lip shaped ring by Solange Azagury-Partridge was a fab addition to her young look.

10. Heather Morris in Romona Keveza
The ladies of “Glee” had a fabulous run on the carpet last night and Heather Morris was no exception. After grabbing the attention of many viewers this season with her Britney Spears performances on the show, Heather was one to watch at the SAG Awards. I really loved the femininity of her Romona Keveza strapless blush silk chiffon gown with a rosette bodice. Her stick straight locks worked because it wasn’t overwhelming and her hair color complimented the dress so well. I can’t wait to see further looks from Heather as I am officially interested in her style.

The Golden Globe Awards last night were filled with happy tears, jeers, cheers, and amazing wins complete with glamorous fashion. I couldn’t wait to get my Top 10 "best dressed" list out, so without further ado…

1. Olivia Wilde in Marchesa
You know that $25,000 "Frrozen Haute Chocolate" dessert dish at Serendipity’s in New York City? Yeah, that’s what Olivia Wilde reminded me of at the Golden Globes this year. She was sparkly, luxe, and sinfully delicious as she walked the red carpet in her strapless embroidered ball gown by Marchesa. I knew when Olivia first emerged on camera that she’d be my favorite of the night, and I wasn’t proven wrong. Not-so-hidden beneath her gown – as she kept lifting the skirt to show them off – were a pair of epic metallic gold spike and crystal encrusted platform ankle boots by Christian Louboutin. She was truly golden last night.

2. Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolf
Her gown wasn’t extravagant, but the soft pink satin strapless column gown with a single red rose embroidered detail by Viktor & Rolf was a beautiful choice for Natalie Portman. The mom-to-be looked happy and comfortable in her pretty gown that she matched perfectly with her Stella McCartney red sandals and Dior clutch. I kind of wish she had her hair out and lightly curled, but that’s a small token on such a nice look. If Natalie keeps this up, I can only imagine how she’ll look at this years Oscars. We’re sure she’ll be nominated in her role as Nina in the ballerina thriller "Black Swan".

3. Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurung
Young Hollywood could take some advice from "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld! I fell in love with her white-hot Prabal Gurung halterneck gown that she wore last night. The subtle fabric detailing gave it definition and Hailee let it speak for herself as she kept her hair in a simple ponytail as to not distract and accessorized with delicate diamonds from Tiffany & Co. with a cool light turquoise strass clutch by Amanda Pearl. Loves it!

4. Dianna Agron in J. Mendel
"Glee" star Dianna Agron totally upstaged her co-star Lea Michele last night in this gorgeous soft beige silk chiffon hand pleated beaded strapless gown with peplum from J. Mendel‘s pre-fall collection. The 24 year-old actress gained a fashion following with this look and you can count me as one of the many. I loved her perfectly curled and pinned "old-Hollywood" hair as well as her Cathy Waterman jewels and Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. You can’t see them but Dianna grew a few inches for the night in Casadei‘s incredible satin triple platform bow peep toe pumps.

5. Kyra Sedgwick in Emilio Pucci
I almost missed Kyra Sedgwick on the red carpet in her citrus chiffon gown by Emilio Pucci, but I’m so glad I didn’t! The "Closer" actress looked so well put together. I thought the carefree up-do let you focus on the gown but also drew attention to her face and her stunning earrings which matched her cuff bracelet perfectly. A clutch by VBH completed her winning look.

6. Julie Bowen in Tadashi Shoji
There were many talked about gowns last night, but the Tadashi Shoji worn by Julie Bowen fell under the radar and I have no idea why. Tara Swennen styled the "Modern Family" actress this amazing crinkled silk chiffon pin tucked, hand cut, beaded floral detail gown that not only avoided washing out the fair-skinned actress, but it actually added depth. I loved all of the crinkle ruffles on just the shoulder strap and hem. The silhouette was mended together at the waist with a mock belt of the same fabric detail. The antique color that Julie wore was great, but I can only imagine how this looks in the black, ivory, cantaloupe, lavender, tea rose, and tropical blue colors that it also comes in.

7. Mila Kunis in Vera Wang
I was hoping to see Mila Kunis in at least one look by Vera Wang this award season, and it looks like I didn’t have to wait long. Not only did "Black Swan" really put Mila on the map this year, but she is coming one of my favorite fashionistas as well. She started "wowing" me last May at the MET Gala in NYC, where she also wore Vera, and she hasn’t faltered. Her up-do was classic, her make-up was soft, and her emerald gown was stunning. I loved all of the folded and draping details, the crinkle of the fabric and the amazing gathered train that she worked like a pro.

Mila carried a clutch by Judith Leiber, wore a pair of YSL tribute sandals for height and added a little bling by Lorraine Schwartz.

8. Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection
While everyone was on ‘Team Emma Stone’ last night in her Calvin Klein Collection short sleeve gown, my eyes darted to Claire Danes in her bubblegum pink halter gown by the same designer. This lady has the perfect body structure for the sharp halter shape and the soft color added a glow to her undertones which I thought looked fantastic. This is one of my favorite looks for Claire in general actually. Because she couldn’t wear a necklace, Claire didn’t pound on the jewels to accommodate that — instead she opted for a cool Fred Leighton clutch. Glamorous.

9. Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
I’m always amazed at how bad-ass Angelina Jolie can look in her movies and then look absolutely demure on the red carpet. Her appearance at the Golden Globe Awards was no different as she strutted the carpet in a uber-glamorous long-sleeve, fully beaded emerald green gown with an open back by Atelier Versace. I’m so glad that she left her hair out and let it drape across her shoulder so that you could still see the detail of her back. An emerald cocktail ring by Robert Procop completed her look.

10. Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier
For a golden show, there was a lot of green looks lat night and I loved them all. Catherine Zeta-Jones finishes off my Top 10 list in her amazing, truly amazing folded green ball gown from the pre-fall collection by Monique Lhuillier. With such a show-stopping gown, I was very pleased that Catherine left her hair in a subtle swept-up style and left her diamonds by Van Cleef & Arpels at a minimum. It allowed me to appreciate her gown without any interference — and appreciate it, I do.
