The Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California was the place to be last night as the golden popcorn was passed out to the hottest stars in film at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Like with all award shows, the fashion was just as popular as the winners of the night, so we have a detailed run-down of the most talked about looks below!

THE LADIES OF ‘TWILIGHT’
All eyes were on the ladies of Twilight saga hit the red carpet last night.

Elizabeth Reaser -aka- “Mama Cullen” paired her halter neck tuxedo-styled jumpsuit by Stella McCartney with a Lauren Merkin zipper detailed “Ava” clutch and the “Katie-Lee” illusion sandals by Brian Atwood. Anna Kendrick played up her flirty side with a floral Zac Posen mini dress from the Spring 2010 runway collection. Anna kept her footwear anything by simple with criss-cross strappy black high sandals by Gianvito Rossi.

Twitter practically shut down when word of Kristen Stewart‘s arrival was announced. The 20-year-old actress experimented with extensions and rocked a long ponytail that didn’t distract from her event appropriate tweed and gold brocade mini cocktail dress by Dolce & Gabbana. During the show Kristen took a stumble when accepting the award for “Best Kiss” with co-star (and rumored boyfriend) Robert Pattinson. It probably had to go with her extremely high black crisscross sandals by Vicini. A simple necklace and a diamond knuckle ring by Jessica Robinson were her only accessories.

She plays a vampire with an attitude problem, but Nikki Reed looked super sweet in her lily-printed sleeveless dress and black strappy sandals from Miu Miu‘s Resort 2010 collection. Nikki left her hair out and parted to the side with light make-up.

REALITY SHOW DIVAS
Since this is the final season of The Hills, could this be the last time we see the girls from the show at the MTV Movie Awards? Probably not. We think one or more will end up getting their own show or might just turn out to be an MTV VJ. I think that’s what usually happens when a successful reality show ends on the network.

Stephanie Pratt left her blonde locks pin-straight that hid the fact that her multi-color dress by Leila Shams is actually a one shoulder. She finished off her look with her trusty black platform pumps by Yves Saint Laurent. Audrina Patridge went for glitz with her silver metallic one sleeve dress with Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain jeweled sandals and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Lo Bosworth might have thought she was at the Emmys with this rust colored gown by Diane von Furstenberg, but with pretty jewelry and a sweet pulled back ‘do, she looked beautiful. Whitney Port worked the usual mini, but this one had MTV award show written all over it. The sheer nudeYigal Azrouel dress with yellow patch detailing looked fabulous on The City star. Whitney left her hair out and loose and slipped on a pair of caged Sergio Rossi peep-toe ankle boots.

THE NEXT GENERATION
Get a good look at all of these gals because with their current careers burning up as they are, you’ll be seeing a lot of them for years to come!

The Last Airbender star, Nicola Peltz made her MTV Movie Awards debut wearing a multi-color printed green dress by Alice + Olivia with zipper Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain sandals. Nicola looked super grown up even though she tried to keep her look young with a half-swept hairstyle and hoop earrings. Is she really only fifteen? Miranda Cosgrove‘s show iCarly is going strong, she just released an album and she has a movie with Steve Carrell out this summer, this girl isn’t slowing down! Miranda wore an orange velvet dress from the Christopher Kane designed Versace junior label, Versus with simple nude Christian Louboutin pumps.

Lily Collins, whom you got familiar with in last years The Blind Side hit the red carpet in a red sheer overlay dress with cork platform sandals and a gold clutch–all by Stella McCartney. Lily is gearing up to begin filming the action film, Abduction, with Taylor Lautner this summer. As the star of Nickelodeon’s Victorious, Victoria Justice flashed a peace sign when she arrived wearing a fun pink dress from the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2010 runway collection. Victoria accessorized with nude open-toe pumps and a matching clutch.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager is getting ready to premiere its third season this month on ABC Family, so star Shailene Woodley walked the red carpet to promote the show wearing a black “Jessica” dress by Alice + Olivia. Not too big on accessories, Shailene let her metallic ankle booties from Steven by Steve Madden stand out. Lucy Hale has her own show on the way, Pretty Little Liars also premieres on the ABC Family network this month, so like Shailene, Lucy is own her promo tour of her own. Lucy wore black cutaway leather ankle booties with a dramatic necklace that fortunately didn’t steal the spotlight from her glittery seamed strapless dress by Thuy. Chelsea Staub arrived on the arm of her surprise-surprise boyfriend Steven R. McQueen (The Vampire Diaries), but more eyes were focused on Chelsea’s Plastic Island gold sequined skirt. The JONAS star paired her mini with a simple white tank, a metallic clutch, and shiny gold platform sandals.

THE YOUNG STARLETS
Not one to miss an MTV shindig, Lindsay Lohan showed up to the awards in a much-talked-about metallic jumpsuit by Pamella Roland. I guess the pants were supposed to distract from the fact that LiLo is wearing an alcohol monitoring bracelet. Amanda Seyfried was a no-show on the red carpet, but luckily we got to see her Pre-Fall 2010 modified Stella McCartney lace dress and ‘Keegan’ sandals by Jimmy Choo when she accepted her award for ‘Scared-As-Sh*t Performance’ in Jennifer’s Body.

Vanessa Hudgens looked simply sweet in her ivory baby doll dress by Jenny Packham and matching peep-toe pumps. Unfortunately this was expected of Vanessa and provided no “wow-factor” even though she looked great. Alexandra Daddario from Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief on the other hand surprised me in a Mason by Michelle Mason sexy cutaway black mini and matching pumps.

HOT-HOT HOLLYWOOD
Cameron Diaz
was another face we missed from the carpet this year, but we were pleasantly surprised to see her at the end of the show with her Knight & Day co-star Tom Cruise. Cameron went for her usual mini dress with a floral printed Diane von Furstenberg and open-toe black booties by Jimmy Choo. The Hilton sisters hit the carpet together in very different but definitely complimentary looks. Paris wowed in a feathered mini by Blumarie and nude pumps, while Nicky chose a Missoni ice blue dress from the Resort 2010 collection with metallic strappy sandals and a glittered tube clutch by Jimmy Choo.

Jessica Biel, who stars in the upcoming film adaptation of The A-Team, wore a look from Giambattista Valli‘s Fall 2010 collection while Iron Man 2‘s Scarlett Johansson went with a green lace dress and black pumps by Dolce & Gabbana.

Eva Mendes strutted down the red carpet in a sequin printed one-shoulder dress by Stella McCartney that she paired with metallic pale gold strappy sandals and a matching clutch–both by Roger Vivier. She didn’t walk the carpet and we didn’t think she would, but ‘thank you’ Sandra Bullock for showing up in that stunning black long sleeve sequin mini by Oday Shakar. You can’t see the back in the photo, but it was open and draped dangerously low. Very sassy! Sandra kept her shoes simple by wearing nude suede platform ‘Bibi’ pumps by Christian Louboutin.

Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba were also not seen arriving. It’s like a trend here! Katie didn’t go on the stage all night, but we caught a glimpse of Mrs. Tom Cruise showing her support for her man in the audience as he performed with Jennifer Lopez in character as Les Grossman. Katie wore a simple grey strapless mini with fuchsia satin pumps by Casadei. Jessica went all out and it’s shame we don’t have better photos to show off her funky skirt and sparkly leggings from Louis Goldin‘s Fall 2010 runway collection. Jessica also wore a simple black tank and strappy sandals.

THE SONGBIRDS
Julianne Hough
, didn’t perform at the awards but the DWTS pro-dancer turned country singer looked great in a Camilla & Marc cutout black mini with matching pumps and a gold detailed clutch. Christina Aguilera wore a super-fierce Atelier Versace Fall 2010 chain dress with a crisscross cutout bodice and a crazy cut fan skirt. I love the illuminating colorful details throughout the skirt. Xtina twisted her platinum locks into a Gwen Stefani-inspired top bun and finished off her look with a nameplate ring and black platform Yves Saint Laurent pumps.

Katy Perry loves playing with wigs–even though she has gorgeous raven black locks. The “California Gurls” singer arrived wearing a vibrant blue wig, a Zuhair Murad long sleeve nude tulle crystal embellished mini dress and ‘Lotus’ pumps by Rock & Republic. The heel of Katy’s grey pumps has a yellow strip, so Katy played off that with long matching nails.

After Katy’s performance during the show, the singer changed into Look #30, a yellow and grey bandage dress, from Herve Leger by Max Azria‘s Spring 2010 collection. She even changed her nail color to hot pink!
