There’s only about a month left before the return of the CW’s hit show The Vampire Diaries. Last season we left off with Elena (Nina Dobrev) being turned into a vampire. The fourth season is sure to be filled with a lot of unanswered questions for Elena and her vampy friends when it premieres on October 11th (Thursday 8/7c PM).
SUMMARY: Season Four begins with the knowledge that everything is in transition. Elena faces her worst nightmare when she awakens after the accident and finds she must now endure the terrifying transition to become a vampire – or face certain death. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are torn even further apart over how to help Elena adjust to a life she never wanted, and everyone has to cope with the chaos Alaric created when he outed the vampires and their supporters to the Mystic Falls Council and local church leaders. Despite everything that has happened to them, as Elena and her friends enter into the final stretch of high school before graduation sends them off on different paths, they feel the bond to their home town of Mystic Falls take on a deeper meaning when a new mysterious villain is introduced who seems intent on destroying it.

Yup, it’s almost here! Just two days until GLEE is back! Are you just as excited as us?
With about half of the glee club having already graduated, it’s going to be interesting to see how the show bounces between the New Directions and the McKinley High graduate storylines. We’ve also got some new kids in town as well as big name guest stars like Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker.
In the season four premiere a still-heartbroken Rachel (Lea Michele) begins her brand new life in New York City, while back in Lima, the New Directions are struggling to figure out what to do with a group of only seven – and no star performer. Who will be their new Rachel Berry?
Tune into an ALL NEW Glee on its new night, this Thursday September 13th @ 9PM on FOX!
The hot pink carpet rolled out for your favorite stars last night( Sunday, July 22) to flash their pearly whites and fly outfits to a crowd of fans and flashing cameras as they arrived for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA and hosted by X Factor judge, Demi Lovato and Glee star, Kevin McHale.
Some of the big winners of the night included Justin Bieber — taking home four surfboards, Taylor Swift who won all five awards she was nominated for, and Twilight as they picked up Ultimate Choice Award and Choice Movie Romance as well as individual awards for the stars of the film. While the Hunger Games took home wins for Choice Movie Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice Book. Oh, and we can’t forget the always popular Choice Hottie awards, which went to Miley Cyrus & Ian Somerhalder.
Sadly, Miley couldn’t be there as she was in Philly with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth as he filmed a new movie!
This year, teens logged on to www.teenchoiceawards.com and cast more than 134 million votes in support of their favorite celebrities from film, television, music, sports and fashion.
Some stand out moments for us … like when Sprinkles cupcakes were brought out to celebrate and sing “Happy Birthday” to Selena Gomez (who turned 20) as she accepted her win for Choice Music Group. Then of course we had to stop everything and watch the always amazing No Doubt as they performed their single “Settle Down” from their upcoming album Push and Shove.
For the rundown of who wore what on the carpet make sure you check out The Fashion Court for all the details. Then see the complete list of winners for the night below.

“There is only One Tree Hill… and it’s your home.” That’s the quote that most sums up the television series we have come to know and love for nine years. We’ve grown up with it, you’ve grown up with it, and somehow — indirectly, that makes us family.
Like many of you, we’ve been fortunate to walk the sets of our favorite show and share real life moments with the cast and crew. For those of you who haven’t had the opportunity to tell someone like James Lafferty or Sophia Bush how much their character has inspired you, we would like to help fulfill a bit of your wish.
As the ladies behind OneTreeHillWeb.net, we’ve gathered many pieces of memorabilia from the show, including autographs, score CDs, and more, and we want to share them to you through the help of our other home, Fanvasion.com.

If you thought I would end this musical journey with any other song than the one that started it all — you’re nutso. There’s no way I wouldn’t include the one song where you only have to hear the opening beats in order to be instantly be taken back to Tree Hill.
For the first four seasons, “I Don’t Want To Be” by Gavin DeGraw served as the opening credits theme song and that in itself makes it the “ultimate OTH tune. These days television shows don’t really include theme songs anymore, including One Tree Hill.
More than just a catchy beat and a incredible soulful voice, the lyrics Gavin wrote embodied the show. We’ve watched these characters grow up, and through all of the drama, happiness, tears, love, friendships and horror, the people of Tree Hill have always been trying to just find themselves. During this trip down a musical memory lane, we’ve relived Nathan and Haley’s first kiss, as well as Lucas and Peyton’s post-basketball championship lip-lock. For the last week before the series finale, I thought I would share a little memory with one of our other favorite couples — Brooke and Julian.
Who could forget Julian’s reason for arriving in Tree Hill? He wanted to produce a movie version of Lucas’ novel, “An Unkindness of Ravens”. When it came to the costumes for the film and Brooke was asked to design them [episode #6.12 “You Have To Be Joking (Autopsy of the Devil’s Brain)”], Julian may or may not have walked in on Ms. Davis as she got her “groove on” to the 80’s classic, “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds. Okay, he definitely did … right in the middle of the Clothes Over Bros’ boutique. Later on, Julian would tell Brooke that it was the very moment he fell in love with her. *Collective sigh.*
The song was played once again in the fifteenth episode of season seven, which was actually entitled #7.15 “Don’t You Forget About Me”. However, this time around, it served as the opening track for the episode, but that still wasn’t the last time we got a dose of Brooke’s musical guilty pleasure. [READ MORE]
This could have been the last song we ever heard on “One Tree Hill”.
When “One Tree Hill” went on location to Park City, Utah to film the final episode of season seven (episode
#7.22 “Almost Everything I Wish I’d Said the Last Time I Saw You”), we thought it was going to be the last time they all stepped on set.
To celebrate the possible ending of our beloved show, creator and executive producer, Mark Schwahn teamed up with musicians to form a one-time band that had all been a part of OTH at one point or another; Matthew Ryan, Courtney Jaye, Michael Grubbs of WAKEY!WAKEY! Also, Dallas Green of City and Colour, and they created the track “Carry You Home”, under the name Nashville Skyline to play during the last moments. [READ MORE]
Challen Cates is best known for her role as Mrs. Knight on the Nickelodeon original series Big Time Rush; she’s the clever, fun, yet sometimes clueless mom to Kendall and Katie.
Challen chats with us a bit about a typical day on set; what she likes to do on her days off, and what she has learned from playing “Momma Knight”.
Hi Challen! “Big Time Rush” is gaining fans everyday, so for those who just starting tuning in — can you tell me about your character, Jennifer Knight?
Jennifer Knight is Kendall and Katie’s single mom on the show. My character is that perfect mom that allows her kids the freedom to have adventures on their own and to explore their dreams. And she is always there for them if they find themselves in trouble and need that help that only “mom” can provide.
Would you say you’re anything like you’re character at all? What’s the closet similarity and the biggest departure?
Yes, we do have some similarities. I have 2 small kids in real life and I love my kids more than anything in the world. The biggest difference is that I am not a single mom. I have a great deal of respect for all of the single mothers out there because it is a tremendous amount of work to raise healthy children. I have to say that I am learning a lot from my character about how to trust your children and give them freedom to explore on their own and know that the values that you have instilled in them will carry them through life.
Are you into method acting? Do you base any characteristics of Jennifer on people you’ve known?
I have studied many different methods and have taken bits and pieces from all of my teachers to assemble my own method. I like to call it the “Whatever Works Method.” I love to people watch, so I am always incorporating behavior that I see in other people into Jennifer and every other character that I play.
It’s always fun to take a step behind the scenes of a hit TV show, so I want to get a little insight into your life working on the set. What’s a typical day like for you on BTR?
A typical day on set usually means an early morning call-time which doesn’t bother me because I love going to work. I report to hair and makeup right away. The hair and makeup trailer is always lively and entertaining…especially if Kendall, James, Logan or Carlos are there. From there we go to set for blocking and rehearsal and then we start shooting. We move quickly so everyone is already prepared when they arrive on set. We have a lot of fun between takes and then we make sure that the fun shows up on screen.
I understand that you don’t just play a mother on television, you are one in real life too! Do your kids watch the show?
Yes. I have a 6 year-old son and a 3 year-old daughter. They love watching the show and they love hanging out with Ciara and the guys. We recently went to the BTR concert at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA which was their first concert. I hope that they look back and feel proud that Big Time Rush was their first concert!
If one of them said they wanted to pursue this kind of lifestyle — whether it be acting or a musical career — how would you feel about that?
I will be supportive of whatever career paths they choose. I certainly don’t want them to feel the amount of rejection that happens in the entertainment business but if that is their passion… I will help them in their pursuits.
On the show, Kendall, James, Carlos, and Logan are always getting themselves into one crazy situation after another. Are there many hijinks on set? What’s the cast environment like when you’re shooting an episode?
Crazy hi-jinks happening all the time! You have to watch your back. That is what makes it so much fun to work with them.
What’s your favorite BTR song?
“‘Til I Forget About You”
“Big Time Rush” is a huge mega hit and the guys have a tremendous fan base of ‘devoted fans’; mostly young girls. Were you ever one of them growing up? Did you have a major teen heart-throb crush that you could compare to the BTR fan frenzy?
I was kind of a geek, so I didn’t have posters of boys on the walls of my room. My big teen crush was Rob Lowe. In fact, I still think he’s hot.
When you’re not working and just have some time to yourself, what do you like to do?
My family has a winery in the Central Coast of California; Tantara Winery. We like to head up to the winery to soak up the country life and relax.
The new season is ready! What can we expect from “Momma Knight” and the new episodes? Anything you can dish?!
As you said, BTR is a mega hit and art is imitating life. The band members and everyone in their world will have to adjust to fame and fortune. Should be interesting….
Switching gears a little bit. It’s awards season! Have you seen any of the Oscar nominated movies? Which film are you pulling for?
The Artist! I loved it. So unique and different and I love that the actors were required to get their intentions across without dialogue.
Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me! I can’t wait to see the new season!
Thank you Courtney!!!!
FOR MORE ON CHALLEN AND BIG TIME RUSH CHECK OUT:
I was never a fan of the relationship between Lucas and Lindsey in season five, so there was no love lost for me when their wedding didn’t work out in the 100th episode of “One Tree Hill” — Not at all. In fact, I may have fist-pumped.
Episode 5×12 entitled “Hundred” wasn’t just about broken wedding bells; it was also the episode Dan saved Jamie from that psycho Nanny Carrie after he was kidnapped from the church; crazy nanny, indeed.
The song that played during the CODA was probably one of my favorite moments during the show. It’s interesting that when some of the most dramatic scenes take place I can’t help but think “I need to download this song to my iTunes playlist”. That was the case here with “Apologies” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. [READ MORE]
Sometimes I feel like “One Tree Hill” fans are privileged fans. Our show made headlines in 2007 when it decided to jump forward four years into the future and skip over “the college years”, after the Tree Hill gang graduated high school that fourth season.
When the show picked back up for its fifth year — and four years later, the storylines were different, the characters looked and acted different, but it was still our show; it was just basically a “sequel” of sorts. With that said, I look at the final song of season four (episode #4.21, “All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone”) as somewhat of a “first finale” song. [READ MORE]
