While everyone waited with baited breath for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner to hit the black carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” last night, I was eager to see what vibrant mini dress Ashley Greene was going to wear. Boy, was I shocked to see Miss Greene in her ice grey column gown designed by Alexis Maiblle. While she looked stunning, I couldn’t help but think she looked like she was wearing a blanket. This saddened me, especially when I realized that I liked this dress on the runway when it was presented with an attached sleeve as part of the Fall 2009 couture collection. I’m sure the weather had something to do with Ashley’s choice to whack it off, but…why not just choose another dress?
I did appreciate that she left most of her hair out so that her lack of necklace didn’t cause the upper part of her body to look too bare. I wish I had a photo, but halfway down the carpet Ashley put on these stunning earrings by Buccellatti. Ash finished off her ensemble with a VBH white and silver clutch and ‘Armadillo’ d’Orsay pumps by Christian Louboutin that were hidden beneath her gown.
I constantly come across negative comments about the amount of black Kristen Stewart always wears. While it annoys me personally because I wear a lot of black, it’s also just as irritating to hear about as it is for those commenters to see her in the color. Some people just have a color preference, I’m sure there are celebs out there who wear too much of one color. With that said, I loved how Kristen went completely against those who predicated her to go dark at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” because she went totally white.
Not only did Kristen choose a designer she hasn’t worn before, Elie Saab, she wore a haute couture one sleeve embroidered mini dress from four collections ago! Apparently it was a dress Kristen picked out and wanted to save for this particular event. I included the back view of the dress because, I couldn’t possibly have described it in a way that would’ve done it justice–it had to be seen. [READ MORE]

A special Twilight-themed presentation of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" aired tonight featuring interviews with the stars of the "Eclipse", among them: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel, Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, and Alex Meraz.

There was even a special appearance by the cast of MTV’s "Jersey Shore" with their own little Twilight parody (The Jersey Shore Saga: Friggin’ Twilight) that received mixed reviews from the audience and the Twi-hards tuning in. Some of you laughed, some of you ranted, the rest of you just thought "why?".
Back to Twilight. The stars arrived dressed to their best to talk about the movie, surprise fans at a private showing of the movie, and participate in a Q&A. [READ MORE]
While in town for the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards, Ashley Greene made her press rounds promoting “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in couple of different looks. One of my favorites was this citron abstract print georgette dress by J. Mendel that Ashley wore for her interview with Rosey Edeh (pictured) at ET Canada.
Later that night Ashley hit up the MMVA’s in the black, silver, and gold mixed metal “Showgun” dress from the Fall/Winter collection by Isaac Mizrahi. Ashley stuck to her color combination with gold jewelry, a matching VBH clutch and her trusty Casadei pumps. Twi-fans pointed out via Twitter that Ashley’s look strongly reminded them of Kristen Stewart’s MTV Movie Awards get-up …right down to the hairstyle. What do you think?
Another day, another stop on the “Eclipse” press tour in Europe for Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner (not pictured). For the final stop on the tour, the duo hit up Stockholm, Sweden, early in the morning for the photocall at the Grand Hotel. Kristen wore a paillette embellished antique gold lamé dress by Oscar de la Renta that was slightly modified from the runway.
I was surprised to see Kristen in something so flashy for this press conference when a month ago she was in a schoolgirl skirt and t-shirt for her trip to South Korea. She wore matching ‘Wagner’ pumps by Brian Atwood to finish off. FYI: If you’re looking to purchase the pumps in Kristen’s gunmetal color–it’s exclusively sold in Los Angeles.
For the fan event held at Hovet, I didn’t see any photos of Kristen and Taylor arriving, so I can’t fully appreciate her strapless floral lurex dress by Zac Posen or her black t-strap ‘Summer’ pumps by Brian Atwood. Major bummer.
There wasn’t a fan event in Berlin today, so Kristen Stewart didn’t have a chance to bust out an exciting night-time look, although that didn’t stop her from wearing a killer dress from Versace‘s latest collection at the photocall this morning. Adding a boost of color, Kristen’s tiny black jersey dress featured blue patches at each shoulder and hip, as well as the back. Strategically placed zippers under the bust and down the sides added some character and an-forgive the use of the word-”edgy” feel.
I’ll have to stray away from the dress though because Kristen’s ridiculously cool cutout button leather booties by Camilla Skovgaard are blowing my mind. While I always hope to see her wearing a different pair of shoes with each dress, I really hope she wears these again on the tour. I sense that she will wear something that calls for them again, or at least I’d like to think so. I also think there will be a new footwear resident coming home to my closet this fall.
Kristen’s co-star Taylor Lautner kept it business casual in a light silver dress shirt, a darker shaded tie, black pants and dress shoes.
After a brief trip back to the states to attend the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Kristen Stewart was back to interviews and greeting Twilight fans in Rome today. For the early morning press conference and photo call, Kristen wore a chocolate ribbon cave tweed ruffled cocktail dress from the J. Mendel autumn/winter line which she paired with simple Jimmy Choo black peep-toes. While the dark ruffled dress with sheer panels beautiful, I would have liked to see Kristen in one of the more colorful looks from the collection. Maybe one of the crimson or orange dresses.
Tonight though, Kristen truly surprised me by finally wearing a dress by Marchesa! I haven’t seen the actress in anything Marchesa since she had a late night talk show appearance over a year ago. Kristen chose the embroidered sculpted satin black strapless dress which she paired with black satin platform sandals by Roger Vivier. She looked great in the dress, although it seemed slightly overwhelming on her frame. I think there were also some alterations made as the skirt looked more asymmetric and there looks to be less sheer detailing than what was featured on the Fall runway presentation. Always one to let the dress do the talking, Kristen didn’t pile on accessories and she pulled her hair up to let the dress details stand out.
For the “Eclipse” photo call and press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Kristen Stewart wore an exclusive multi-colored paillette embroidered lace dress by Oscar de la Renta with ‘Cosmo’ metallic pumps by Christian Louboutin. The look was a little dressy for the occasion, but Kristen looked lovely. Hopefully she will wear more Oscar on this press tour.
That night Kristen joined her co-stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson for a Q&A session at the annual TwiCon event. Keeping it casual-just the way she likes it-Kristen wore dark washed jeggings by Black Orchid with her Sergio Rossi booties, a white tank and an awesome leather military ‘Karst’ jacket by AllSaints. That should be sold out on their website within the week.
Somewhere fashionista fans of Kristen Stewart are wondering “what went wrong?” When kicking off her press tour for “Eclipse” with a vibrant colored skirt and casual tee and boots, I thought Kristen was on her way to a possible flawless fashion run. Hopefully the fact that she wore the same top and Sergio Rossi shoes with this black pleated Donna Karan skirt for the press conference and photo call in South Korea this morning was just the result of a wardrobe issue that forced it to be re-worn. I mean really, it’s only been like two days. On the real side though, she looks good. Press conferences are pretty chill and I never really understand the point of getting all dolled up if you’re just going to sit behind a table most of the time. I like the top with the skirt and shoes, but maybe a colorful version of this Market “Bidgette” tee would’ve kicked it up. Maybe purple. Has Kristen ever worn purple before?
Kristen’s hair magically grew in the hours between the conference at the fan event that night as the 20-year-old actress arrived with a super long ponytail. The hairstyle made Kristen’s fierce long sleeve lurex black Fall 2010 dress by Prabal Gurung. Kristen wore the belt that was featured on the runway, but unfortunately wore it backwards. Trust me, you would’ve loved it the other way! I like her glittered ‘Quiet’ pumps by Jimmy Choo, but I think the ‘Mercy’ sandals would’ve been an interesting combination. When I saw the dress on the runway, I didn’t think it’d be Kristen Stewart who I’d see wearing it–but I’m happy she did.
