On March 24, 2007 – Fanvasion made the trip out to the small town, where the show is filmed to take in the festivities! When we arrived that morning, we already witnessed swarms of people all waiting outside the Cape Fear Community College: Schwartz Center for the doors to open and the fun to begin, we could already feel the adrenaline that would soon be pumping through the basketball gym.
As the crowd moved in and found spots on the shiny bleachers, the Tree Hill Ravens (who are the fictional basketball team from the show) began to warm up for the big game against Cape Fear’s home team. If you didn’t have ear plugs, you would’ve needed them when the squeals overcame the gym as soon as James took to the court to shoot a couple of pre-game rounds. [READ MORE]

FROM A TROUPE TO A GROUP

Chicago natives Fall Out Boy (L-R — drummer Andy Hurley, bassist/lyricist Pete Wentz, lead singer/guitarist Patrick Stumph and guitarist Joe Trohman) formed their band a little over four years ago, and in doing so began a journey to becoming 2005′s hottest (excuse the cliché) "boy band." Of course they don’t sport matching outfits and dance around to choreographed songs, but they are of the male gender and they are a band.. so please avoid the hate mail for that comment.
The music isn’t straight pop, nor is it full-on punk.. but it does include elements of both genres. Don’t let that confuse you though, they don’t want to be thought of as a "pop-punk band," but they’re not emo either just because they express their feelings very vividly.. then again, what real songwriter doesn’t? Sometimes life gets turned upside down. And maybe that’s why it’s so hard to believe that anyone, especially 17 year-old Halley Martin (Mandy Moore), could actually experience that thing called love.
The people closest to Halley are in the midst of major upheavals in their love lives. Her mother, Lydia (Allison Janney), is embittered by her recently finalized divorce. Her sister, Ashley (Mary Catherine Garrison), is marrying a guy with whom she is constantly fighting. Her best friend, Scarlett (Alexandra Holden), can’t keep her hands off her first serious boyfriend. Most distressingly for Halley, her father, Len (Peter Gallagher), who is a DJ at a local radio station, combats his midlife crisis with a stereotypically boyish elopement to the station’s much younger traffic reporter.
So how’s Halley supposed to deal? She isn’t about to let herself succumb to the pipe dream of storybook romance, and Macon Forrester (Trent Ford) is the one guy who challenges her idea that love just complicates a perfectly good friendship. As Halley’s life grows more and more complicated, she finds a friend in Macon, but when she feels herself falling for him, will Halley move beyond her fears and disappointments to experience real love? The dream is gone…some might say, when they hear the name “Dream Street.” Those five boys out of New York were well, on their way.. What happened? Who’s fault was it? Where did everything go wrong? Their fans find those same questions going through their head every time they pop in the album of their, now no more favorite boy band. But, when you think about it…it’s not completely over. CHRIS TROUSDALE, one of the remaining members of the group hasn’t gone anywhere. The 17 year old heartthrob with his crazy signature hair is excited and geared up to launch his awaited solo career.
Recently he’s been popping up everywhere for the screenings and concert tour of his movie The Biggest Fan (which costars rising actress, Kaila Amariah). He also recorded two songs for a Christmas album entitled “School’s Out,” which you may have heard one of his songs “Wild Christmas,” played on the popular teen-drama the WB’s Dawson’s Creek.
