I constantly come across negative comments about the amount of black Kristen Stewart always wears. While it annoys me personally because I wear a lot of black, it’s also just as irritating to hear about as it is for those commenters to see her in the color. Some people just have a color preference, I’m sure there are celebs out there who wear too much of one color. With that said, I loved how Kristen went completely against those who predicated her to go dark at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” because she went totally white.
Not only did Kristen choose a designer she hasn’t worn before, Elie Saab, she wore a haute couture one sleeve embroidered mini dress from four collections ago! Apparently it was a dress Kristen picked out and wanted to save for this particular event. I included the back view of the dress because, I couldn’t possibly have described it in a way that would’ve done it justice–it had to be seen.
Her shoes were the ‘Big Lips’ from Christian Louboutin‘s newest collection in a suede nude color. I love the shoes, but I think the deep red mohair version would have been killer. If you’re familiar with the book covers for The Twilight Saga, you’d know that the color scheme is black, white and red. I think Kristen–like with the premiere for the first movie in 2008–captured that with her ensemble choice and still kept it edgy, but summer light.
