Hi Frankie! How are you?
Good! How ‘bout you?

I’m doing great. First off, congratulations on making the group!
Thank you so much, I’m so excited.

What made you decide to audition?
Well, ever since I could say … since I was younger this has been my dream. To perform on stage, to just you know entertain people. As soon as I saw this [Ultimate Boy Band Auditions], I was just … this is exactly what I was meant to do. So, that’s why I auditioned.

Part of the audition process was showing off your vocal and dance ability. What songs did you perform to at the audition?
I sang “All or Nothing” by O-Town, and I danced to a song called “Midnight” by Pitbull.

How long have you been dancing or singing?
I’ve been dancing since I was about 11 years old, I started in intermediate school. I just started in an Acro class, like an all boys Acro class because I flip too. From there one of my instructors … she saw a lot of potential in me, and wanted me to start training in other areas. So, from there I started training in hip-hop and jazz. I’ve been dancing ever since then. I’ve been singing probably since about high school. I started singing in my school shows, and started some training then … that’s about it.

as being in a boy band and performing a dream of yours?
Yeah, definitely. I could remember just watching ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys, Jackson 5 … just all those groups. I just pictured myself doing something just like that. I love being apart of a group, I come from a dance studio of 150 people and we compete all around the nation and everything. I just love performing.

Were you a fan of the previous boy bands such as 98 Degrees, BSB, ‘NSYNC?
Yes, definitely … definitely.

Are you in school?
I am. I’m a sophomore at Wagner College, a theatre major. So, I’ve been training and going to school still. I feel like school is always important, you never know when you’re going to need it.

How do you plan on juggling that with the band?
Well, I mean right now they’re still looking for the next four members; so I’m still in school, still taking classes. Although, since this has always been my dream, I know I can always go back to school. So, when things start to heat up and start to go I’m definitely going to have to enroll out for awhile. Then if I need to I can always go back to school, but at least I can say I went and took a year and a half.

Absolutely, at least you’ve got your priorities in order.
Exactly, I’ve always … even my first year in college; I’ve been auditioning for things. Just trying to get my face out there and do things because this has always been what I wanted to do. As much as I feel school is very important, but I know this is the time now and I’m going to take a chance and the opportunity. I mean it is the opportunity of a lifetime.

You’re a singer and a dancer, but what about writing? We’ve noticed a lot of groups writing their own material now, is that something you’d ever be interested in contributing to the group?

Yeah, definitely in some time I could see myself doing that. I mean, I’ve never written any music or anything because I’ve always just really focused on my dancing for the past few years. But, I mean in time definitely … I feel like it’s a good way to express yourself, tell a message and influence other people.

You mentioned you were influenced by Backstreet Boys and ‘NSync, who worked with some big name artists and producers. Who would you hopefully like to work with?
Oh God, I would love to work with a lot of people. I would definitely say a dream person to work with would be Michael Jackson, because he has been such a huge influence. I think he is one of the greatest entertainers ever, and I would love the opportunity to work with him. I also love Madonna, I think she’s awesome. She’s always … what I love about her is you never know what to expect. I love that; everyone wanting to watch because you don’t know what she’s going to come out with next, so I think she’s a really creative person.

What do you most want future fans to know about Frankie?
About me? Umm, basically I’m really just a normal kid. I’ve always said … you know, you see all these celebrities and they have such a hard time because they started at such a young age and never really got to live their childhood. I just love to hang out with my friends, and go to the movies, sit back and relax … enjoy my summer. My biggest thing is whatever you put your mind to it can happen. This has been my dream, ever since I was little and I told everyone. People would tell me — you need a back up career, you need to do this, you need to do that. I always said no, I’m gonna put my mind to this and that’s what I really want to get out to people. That whatever you put your mind to, whatever circumstances, no matter what if you really want something you can get it.

Do you have any tips for guys interested but hesitant in going to the next two auditions?
Definitely go, I feel like it’s worth a shot. Maybe you feel like you’re not the best singer, not the best dancer. But, if this is what you want to do I would definitely say go out there and audition, show your face, you never know.

Well, it’s been a pleasure talking with you Frankie.
Thank you so much, it was nice to talk to you too.

We look forward to working with you and the group very soon.
I know. I’m so excited.
