TMarieWe got the chance to chat with Latin up-n-comer TMarie. If she looks familiar it may be because you’ve seen her on Jenny Jone’s "Future Latino Stars", or even open for the mega hot group ‘N Sync. If you haven’t seen her before though take a good look at her because it won’t be the last you see or hear.

So, how are you doing?
I’m doing great!

How did you get started and know that singing is what you wanted to do?
Well, I’ve been performing since I was five years old, and since the moment I walked on stage I just knew that this is what I wanted to do.

What are some things you would like to accomplish in your career?
I want to accomplish a hit record, actually a platinum record. I want a lot of things … I wanna be a pop star!

Have you ever thought of being in a group/band or have you always wanted to be on your own?
Really I’ve always wanted to be on my own, because I’ve never really thought about being in a group. ‘Cause since I was really young I’ve always performed on my own, and that’s just my thing.

Do you write your own music?
No, not really…but I’m starting to.

Are you more comfortable singing in Spanish or English?
I talk in both languages fluently. So, it really doesn’t matter to me, I like them both. They both have their own little thing.

Is there anything or anyone special you think about while on stage?
Not really, my songs are just for my fans and my audience.

Who’s the one artist you would love to be on stage and perform with?
Britney Spears …

Really? Why Britney?
Because she is my idol, she’s such a great performer and the energy she has on stage incorporates my energy. I love being onstage, and to get on there and just forget about the world and do my thing. She really is an inspiration to me, so I’d like to perform with her.

What kind of music are you into?
I listen to about everything … some rock, pop, slow jams .. everything. There’s not a specific kind, music is music and I love all of it!

What’s your favorite song out right now?
Right now? Um, I have a lot of favorites .. I love "Can’t Fight the Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes .. "Overprotected" just basically everything. A lot of the new rock that’s coming out too, it’s a lot of fun.

We heard you opened for ‘N Sync last summer, how was that?
That was an incredible experience, it was just so much energy when you went on that stage. It was awesome, and I got to meet them so that was even better.

Were they nice guys?
Yes! They’re very talented, incredible people.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do?
I don’t think anything is that hard, because if I really put my mind to it .. it’s easy. You know what I’m saying?

Who’s your biggest role model, or musical influence?
Celine Dion just listening to her voice inspires you to sing even more, Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera. All of the together … it’s just like ‘wow’!

What’s your most embarrassing moment?
I don’t really get embarrassed. But, I think the most recent would be when I was at school, and I was doing a presentation, I couldn’t stop laughing. It was embarrassing because it was supposed to be serious, and I was the only one laughing.

If you had three wishes what would you wish for?
To see myself as an incredible artist to be in a major film, and my third one would be just to travel around the world. See every single country!

Well, thank you for taking the time to this…we really appreciate it. Is there anything you’d like to say before we go?
Aww, thank you so much! Just continue to listen to music, I hope you like everything you’re gonna hear and see.
