Album release, I wish I knew too!

How does it feel to be in an all girl band, while everyone seems to be focused on ‘boy-bands’?
I feels great to be in an all girl band, but we’re more then just a girl band we’re musicians too and play our own instruments. That makes us different from all the other girl groups out there. As for the boybands, well they better watch out for us.

What was it like opening for ‘boy-band newcomers’ Dream Street?
I think opening up for Dream Street is great, but at the same time I’d wish we’d have someone open up for us.

Being the oldest in the group is nothing special. We all hang out and have a great time and sometimes I forget about the age difference. We all share advice with each other.

Do you feel any pressure to be a good role model for young girls?
No, I don’t feel any pressure that I have to be a role model for younger girls. I feel more like a symbol for girls…If I can do this than any of you can.

What are some things you would like to accomplish in the future?
Well, I live today for today and tomorrow for tomorrow.

If you could spend one day with someone from the past, who would it be and why?
If I could spend a day with someone from the past I’d have to say Dido…I met her with some friends after a concert. She was just a nice woman with lots of experience and it would be nice to learn from her.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
If I could change 1 thing about me it would be nothing…I’m happy with the way I am and if I were to change then I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

What do you look for in a guy?
What do I look for in a guy…someone who knows how to treat a girl, who can take care of themselves as well, someone who knows a bit about life, someone who can teach me things.

It’s only been 8 months since the September 11th tragedy, yet it feels like yesterday to many. Do you remember where you were when it all happened?
On 9/11 I was at the top of my block watching it happen. I called up everyone I knew to make sure they were OK. I lost my cousin in that tragedy. I had a hard time dealing with it all. For some reason it had hit me harder then I thought it would have and there were times when my friend had to talk to me for hours because I was crying. But, the more I spoke about how I felt the more I felt better.

Do you have any advice for kids trying to still deal with the after effects?
My advice to anyone dealing with this is just to talk about it. As much as it may hurt, talking about how you feel will help you get through it little by little. Just remember you’re not alone!
